  1. Every post starts with an attention grabbing headline written in title case.
  2. The date goes at the top of the post so people can know when the article was published.
  3. Include a feature image at the beginning of each post, so an image will be included when the post is shared on social network.
  4. Social sharing buttons make it easy for readers to share post on social media, so you have to make it visible for your readers.
  5. The first few sentences should act as a hook and convince people to keep reading, so your first paragraph should be precise and catchy.
  6. Be sure to make a stand with your posts, Even if you end up being wrong. It’s better to strongly make your case than to be wishy washy and never make a point.
  7. Include real facts, data, and examples to make your post more interesting (images, videos, and source links) when needed.
  8. Sub-headlines should be used to break up text and to make the post easier to read. Remember to only use <H2> or <H3> tags for your sub-headlines, and never an <H1> tag which is reserved for the title of the post.
  9. Blog posts are a conversation between the author and the reader, so write conversationally, not academically.
  10. Use bullet points and numbered lists when possible to break up long sections of text.
  11. Include images and screenshots to add visual appeal to your posts.

  13. Include enough details in your post to make it substantial and worth reading, more details means more value for readers, and more values promotes more shares and more links.
  14. Always include a strong conclusion to wrap up your post in a good way. It’s also good to use a call to action to direct readers to take whatever next step you do like them to take.
  15. Find an easy to use comment system so readers can provide feedback and join the conversation.
  16. Don’t claim originality of any post you copied from any site, always make reference to the site and create a backlink.
