In an
active group on Whatsapp, messages can often flow at the speed
of light. This can cause confusion when people start to have individual
conversations within the group.
If you've ever fallen victim to being misunderstood for saying for Example "Old" in reference to a joke your aunt shared in the family Whatsapp group, but your cousin took offense because she mistook it as your reply for a selfie she shared at the same time, asking everyone "How do I look?", this new Whatsapp feature is a Godsend for you.

With this latest update, Whatsapp allows you to directly reply to individual messages, which are then embedded into your reply for better understanding. The feature is available for both Android and iOS users.
Still not sure how to use it? Here's a step-by-step guide
step1: make sure your whatsapp is updated to the latest version
Step 2: Press and hold the message you want to directly reply to. A menu of options would appear right above it.
Step 2: Press and hold the message you want to directly reply to. A menu of options would appear right above it.
Step 3: Tap on 'Reply'. The message will now be embedded into your textbox.
Step 4: Type in your message, and hit 'Send'.
This is all you need to do to reply
to particular messages in Whatsapp. This new feature comes in handy during
lengthy conversations, and minimizes any sort of confusion.
To avoid wastage of screen space, quoted messages do not appear in full, but you can tap them, and Whatsapp scrolls all the way up to the original text.
