This 48-year-old man from Kamuli district, Eastern
Uganda was reportedly found dead on Sunday, August 7 after engaging and winning
a drinking competition on Saturday, August 6. Edaily reports that the body of
the deceased was found lying by the roadside near the bar where the contest was
held. According to an eye witnesses he died after drinking too much alcohol
during the competition.
It is alleged that the middle-aged man drunk too
much alcohol to beat in the contest without considering the health risk.
People, however, expressed their dismay on the rising cases of deaths caused by
alcoholism in the area.
