Just when everyone thought that Microsoft is no
longer producing Phones due some announcement earlier this year about the the
company selling its feature phone business to FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of
Foxconn, for $350 million(a deal that will allow FIH to use the Nokia brand
name make its own mobile phones), the Software giant had recently unveiled the
Nokia 216 and Nokia 216 dual Sim Phones.
The new Nokia 216 release came as surprise because
Microsoft had plans to drop the production of their basic phones like the Asha,
Series 40 and Nokia X handsets and shift its mobile market towards their
Windows Phone flagship devices.
The new Nokia 216 has a 2.4 inches QVGA screen
display, a 0.3MP both front and back rear Camera lenses and supports 2.4G browsing
Network. It also supports up to 32GB micro SD card and has a 3.5mm headphone
jack. It comes with the Opera Mini Browser and the Opera Mobile Store for Apps.
The Nokia 216 comes in three colors; black, grey an
pale green. And like every other traditional Nokia feature phone, the Nokia 216
has a built-in torchlight. It also has an FM Radio, an MP3 and video player, a
Bluetooth 3.0 and Bluetooth audio support for headsets and has space to store
up to store up to 2000 contacts. the battery can stay up to 18 hours talk time,
up to 24 days standby time.
